Stevie Nicks -
The “Fae Witch Queen” we all try emulate but realise rather quickly that we will never be as majestic as the Goddess herself.
Courtney Love -
The “Grunge Fairy” of Hole that we all know and love (no pun intended). She’s statuesque, covered in glitter, and enjoys the art of hexing her ex-lovers (or at least writing a song about them). She owns the 90s witch aesthetic in my book.
Nancy from The Craft (1996) -
The “Wiccan Goth” we all fear and admire. We love her sass, her ability to invoke the spirit and her perfectly executed gothic catholic schoolgirl look.
Siouxsie Sioux -
The “Pixie Punk” from Siouxsie and the Banshees, an amazing 80s goth band with hits like “Spellbound”, “Stargazer”, and “Halloween” that give us all pumpkin spices autumn vibes.
The Owens Sisters from Practical Magic (1998) -
The “Kitchen Necromancers” from the Halloween classic film who know how to make killer
midnight margaritas, along with bringing back their crazy ex-boyfriends from the dead. They are beautiful, magical creatures with locks of gold and hearts to match.
Morticia Addams from The Addams Family (1991) -
The “Mother of all Sorceresses” from the classic TV series and film adaptations. Anjelica Huston is absolutely magical and stunning. She loves spooktacular family, as well as her fantastically morbid husband Gomez, but the one thing she despises most of all is pastels.
Nancy and Ann Wilson -
The “Bravehearts” who enchant us with their 70s & 80s rock and roll tunes and lace covered bohemian dreams. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson are the creative spark behind Heart and they all deserve a round of applause their years and years of killing the game.
The Halliwell Sisters and Paige from Charmed (1998-2006) -
The “Slaying Sisters” that *charmed* us for almost a decade. By the way, I’m using this hip reference as a joke, they actually do slay demons and monsters my friends. These gals are more than meets the eye and they know how to kick some warlock ass.
Bette Midler -
The “Hocus Pocus Enchantress” herself, Bette Midler. She is amazing is so many other roles as well, but this character has a special place in all our hearts. She has even been quoted saying it was her favorite role she’s ever played. Her wicked grin and boss ass bitch attitude leaves you all wanting more (maybe its because she put as spell on you).
Sabrina the Teenage Witch -
The “Broom closeted Teen Witch” Sabrina Spellman who lives with her 600-year old magical aunts is just as relatable and witty. With her cat Salem at her side, the witch jokes are always abundant and the 90s sit com aesthetic always makes me feel warm and cozy.
